~ Part Two: Distractions by Randox
These past two weeks we have seen a considerable amount of changes. There were changes to Bounty Hunter, the control interface, a new mini game (that was later changed), and also Jagex released a new site…to cover a few things.
The Bounty Hunter was interesting and I honestly did not expect the resulting reaction from the community. They made it so that the whole thing is almost one on one. I say almost because the person hunting you can attack you even if you are already fighting someone. Apparently many people had gotten used to joining clans and just killing everyone. Now that you have to be able to hold your own, another segment of the community is upset. You can read the details on the RuneScape site (in the archives), but I would briefly mention that the Bounty Locate spell is now able to be used with a much lower magic level and it is also F2P.
Next up, we received a new mini game, which is a rare occurrence. Vinesweeper is a farming mini game based on the game mine sweeper. I believe that if enough people were to play in one world there is a possibility of a reasonably cost effective way to train farming. They had to make changes since the original rewards (especially XP) were so laughable it hurt. The game was changed to offer better rewards, be a little easier to play (bigger rabbits), and a little cheaper. It is unknown if Jagex will designate an official world and considering the amount of points you could get in a crowded area, they may never designate a world in an attempt to keep people from forming too large of a group.
Jagex has passed its fiscal year and was able to lower the price of Canadian subscriptions. They were not able to do this earlier because, believe it or not, it is not easy or always possible to change a subscription fee in the middle of the year. They also needed to be sure that it was not temporary because of the effort involved in changing the fee. There was also a release on the status of several updates in the works and we can expect more of these in the future. These are for things such as promised changes, the other PvP mini games and other big things that we are already aware of.
Shortly before the release of FunOrb (Jagex gaming site), Jagex changed the friends list so that it can show what FunOrb game you are playing or if you are on RuneScape (since private chat goes between both sites). When they did this they made the font much smaller and darker. This is fine if you have a smaller monitor (in the 14” range) that uses 800x600 native resolutions. On these monitors, the game takes up almost the whole screen so the font is really not that small. Now for anyone who has a larger monitor (which would be a majority I am sure), this is a problem. The combination of size and low contrast can cause eye strain. Players have already reported widespread headaches, and many migraines. In the past, Jagex has repealed any update that caused health problems or posted warning to specific areas (such as before going to a place with flashing lights). It is unknown if they intend to make the font easier to read (all they need to do is make the color lighter). In the mean time, increasing the contrast setting on your monitor can alleviate the problem (I need to go from 50% contrast to 80%).
Jagex has a lot of loose ends laying around and they really need to start showing people that they can deal with them. It is not inspiring when they are making our friends list hard to read when there are still things left over from the RWT updates that need to be resolved. I understand that they are likely moving these things along as fast as they can while still releasing other updates, but when things like the Vinesweeper and friends list show some level of poor judgment, people start to wonder. With the removal of most of customer support by messages and having people rely on the RSOF (excuse me while I fall off my chair laughing), it might seem that this would be an important time to not make people mad. Now the Vinesweeper thing was not a big thing, but the friends list is for many people. Jagex hasn't had a major screw up very recently, but you have to wonder if another one is on the way.
I would hope Jagex treads carefully. There are some major problems (many in the Grand Exchange regarding hideously broken prices) and many people are tired of Jagex relying on the goodwill and patience of their players. I hope the RunScape community will be patient just a bit longer, that is until Jagex has at least had a chance to sort their game out.
I would like to add, that we were originally promised part 2 of Summoning in January. Well, February is gone, and we’re still waiting. I can appreciate that they are making changes and decided they may as well hold part 2 until that’s done, but they really need to step on it. Summoning may be responsible for keeping a large number of players in the game and their continued subscription is riding on this skill. Every week they delay, they are going to lose players. They have shown that the end is in sight, but do we really trust Jagex anymore? I know I am viewing them with renewed skepticism. These sorts of changes are really annoying and I hope that they are doing this as fast as possible.

~ Part Three: Interview of Kiara_kat by Guthix121
Guthix121: I am pleased to announce that for the 20th Edition of the Gielinor Tribune, we can bring you an interview of the former Tip.It Website Crew Leader: Kiara_Kat!
Guthix121: So tell me, how did you first find Tip It?
Kiara_Kat: Well let's see....I was pretty new at playing RuneScape then, and I was stuck in the basement of Draynor Manor. I was doing the Ernest the Chicken quest, and for the life of me, I couldn't get out of that blasted cellar! Pull this lever, pull that lever, blah blah blah.
Anyway, I decided to see if I could find a cheat or something on the Internet. I figured there might be
something available, since I could always find help for my various PS games. So I googled "Ernest the Chicken", or something like it, and Tip.It was one of the first links that was returned. Of course, Tip.It didn't look like it does today, it was much more simple then. If you want to see what the quest guide selection
used to look like, when I started using it, you can check it out here:
http://www.tip.it/rsc/index.php?page=quests.htm
Once I found Tip.It, I was hooked. I couldn't believe my luck! Questing was soooo much easier with Tip.It.
Guthix121: And I see you've sticked with Tip.It all the way. I was wondering, what was the popularity of Tip.It when you first found it? Was it anywhere as big as it is now?
Kiara_Kat: It wasn't anywhere near what it is today! If I recall correctly, I started playing RS in 2003 and there wasn't really that much available then. As you can see by the link I gave you for the "old" version of the Tip.It site, it wasn't very high tech back then...did you check out the links on the left-hand side of the page? Ouch. Not much meat, is there? Of course RS has grown by leaps and bounds since the "old days" as well, so Tip.It had to keep up. And keep up it did! When
Eeeeediot was asked to step in as Crew Leader in March 2005, I don't think anyone could have predicted the huge advances he would bring to the site. The site format you have come to know so well was implemented in April 2005, one month after I joined the Crew.
Guthix121: So the words "All big things start out small" is shown here.
You say that you joined the Tip.It Crew around March of 2005. How did it feel to help out with one of your favorite websites? In fact, how did it feel to become a website crew
leader?
Kiara_Kat: I was quite honoured, to tell the truth. By March 2005, I had discovered the Tip.It forums and I was spending a lot of time helping out fellow scapers with my very favourite thing, Treasure Trails. I guess I was doing a good job with it, because it wasn't long before I received a PM from one of the Admins back then, Grin_King. I assumed that I was being offered a Moderator position, but to my surprise, Grin was asking me to join the Crew. I had to think about it, because I didn't know a blasted thing about coding a website. But everyone assured me that it was fairly easy, and that they would help me if I needed it. And yes, I eventually learned. It isn't really that hard.
I was asked to take over as Crew Leader in September of 2005, and that
really scared me. Eeeeediot had done so much for the site, I honestly didn't think I'd be up to it. So when I said that I "
had some mighty big shoes to fill" in the very first news item I posted on
September 27, 2005, I
meant it. I wasn't trying to be funny or cute, I was scared to death! But I got over it soon enough. There was waaaay too much to do to waste time being scared!
Guthix121: I'd be scared out of my mind too! That is one gigantic job you had. So tell me, what are a few of the projects you have done with the rest of the crew during your time as leader?
Kiara_Kat: Wow, I was hoping you wouldn't ask that. I was Crew Leader for almost two years, and we did lots and lots of stuff. Before I get into it, though, I need to mention that all of the changes and additions that were done while I was Crew Leader couldn't have been done without a wonderful Crew. I've always said that a Leader is only as good as his or her team, and nothing could be truer. So let's see...there was, of course, lots of behind-the-scenes stuff that wouldn't mean much to our users, but to the Crew....well now. The most obvious was the CMS (Content Managing System), which allowed us to update the site in real-time. Updating site content before that was a pain in the butt, but with the new CMS, updating guides, maps and calculators/planners became much, much easier.
As for actual site content, there were, of course, scores of new and updated guides, calculators, planners and maps. But if I have to come up with items or tools that were "out of the ordinary", for lack of a better expression, I would have to mention the Items Database, the Events Database, the Interactive Fairy Ring Map, the Quest "Show/Hide Done" tool, the Quest Calculator, the weekly poll and hot topic, the RSS feeds, and....well, that's all I can remember. There may be a couple of others, but I can't think of them at the moment. And again, none of these things could have been accomplished without the hard work of every single crewbie.
Guthix121: I agree that a combined effort between everyone is needed to make something so big work and function. So what made you resign your job in 2007?
Kiara_Kat: I had a lot going on in real life at the time - I was very busy at work and at home, plus I decided to sell my house and buy a bigger one. I just couldn't dedicate the time the Crew Leader position demanded. An absent leader is an ineffective leader, so I felt it was time to step down. And don't forget, I was also doing Administrator duties by that time, so the whole thing just became too much. Leaving wasn't something I really wanted to do, it was something I felt I
had to do...if only for my own sanity. Of course, some people thought I was already crazy way before I decided to leave, so what I can I say? Just kidding.
Guthix121: Well, real life
is more important than a website, I think... :) . Either way, is there anything you would like to say to all those Tip.Iters out there before this interview comes to an end?
Kiara_Kat: Let's see...aside from the usual warnings to be careful, play nice and to get some fresh air, you mean? I guess it would have to be to not let a game rule your life. Sure, it's a good way to escape and live out your fantasies of being a big bad dragon-slaying dude or chick, but really...when was the last time you could summon up a familiar to help you take care of that bully at school? Or to rid your neighbourhood of a violent gang? Game life is game life, and real life is real life. Try to remember which is which, and don't let a game rule your world. You can't take pixels to a movie, and a game won't listen to you when you're feeling depressed or lonely. Because after all, when you click that log out button, you'll still be alone with nobody to talk to. So have fun, but remember that there's a time for games, and there's a time for real human contact. Just keep a balance. I did. That's about it.
Guthix121: Thank you very much. It was a pleasure interviewing you!
~ Part Four: We Got it Going On! by Firsttsurugi
Section 1: Words of Advice
<*>When you set a goal, stick to it until you accomplish what you set out to do. If you want to get 99 in a skill, stick to that skill until you reach your goal.
<*>The exceptions to the above advice are your melee stats: attack, strength, and defense. I would suggest that you get each of them to level 40, and then train strength to 99 so that it will be easier to get the other two skills to 99, since you will be hitting more frequently.
<*>If you have a goal that seems almost insurmountable, turn that big goal into several smaller goals. If you aim for 99 in a skill, divide it into multiple goals of five levels each.
<*>When you get a reward that increases experience in the skill of your choice, use it on a skill that you dislike. That way, when you feel that you need to train this skill, some of the training will already be completed.
<*>If you are feeling bored with Runescape, take some time off. The great thing about this game is that you can quit for any amount of time, and come back whenever you feel like it, and without any consequences. Once you’ve spent time away from Runescape, come back refreshed and ready to continue with your goals and your conversing with people from all corners of the world.
<*>If you disagree with Jagex’s decisions, go to Jagex Tower, break into Andrew’s office, slap him upside the head and force him to unperm-mute you!
Section 2: You know you are a noob if…
<*>You start playing Runescape thinking you will be the best player in a month’s time. Runescape can be compared to the Civil War. You may think that you will “win” by the end of the month, and then you realize that this was harder than it looked.
<*>You become someone’s Runescape girlfriend/boyfriend just so that you can get free stuff.
<*>You make incredibly creepy comments on Runescape without realizing how creepy you sound, or, err... look, seeing as we can’t hear what you are saying. Just look at the Noobs Say the Funniest Things thread and you will understand what I mean.
<*>You go on to your brother’s account, sell his blue party hat at a general store, and then expect him to greet you with hugs and kisses.
Section 3: Satisfied?
Jagex has recently taken a whole new approach on what they are doing! They have made the much asked for changes to Bounty Hunter, and they have done something that has stifled the ranting of players who have had mainly pessimistic views of their actions: They told us what they are actually doing! They have given us a progress report telling us about what they are planning, such as the upcoming Coinshare update to the Lootshare system, as well as an upcoming Player vs. Player safe mini game! These progress reports were a highly needed part of Jagex’s operations, as they add a layer of transparency to the mind set of the company, which gives the players some insight into what they are paying their $5 a month for. I have to say, my previous prediction of this year being better than the last is really starting to show some truth, however I guess they could always “screw something up” at the end of the year. If these progress reports and responses to player feedback continue, this will most certainly be a very good year for the players. Let’s just pray that we don’t have to deal with any more “out-of-touchness” coming from Jagex, or we’ll have to suffer through the endless stream of “Ruinedscape” threads that will be posted in the General Discussion sections of our favorite fan sites.

~ Part Six: Interview of Misplacedme by Book
We are pleased to present to you an interview of a very fondly remembered, and just recently retired, Tip.it Website Crew Leader - Misplacedme!
Book: Hey Misplacedme, thanks for letting me interview you today. Now, how about we get on with the interview!
We see that you announced your "stepping down from the Crew Leader position" on Sunday, February 3rd - but how long before then had you already made up your mind of stepping down?
Misplacedme: Hmm... I've been playing with the idea for a month or two. During the last few weeks, we had to find our new Crew leaders, and that kept me going a little longer.
Book: What exactly prompted you that it was time to retire? Was it simply real-life responsibilities?
We also recognize you said that you're in school and you have a job, did those affect the decision the most or not at all?
Misplacedme: There's a couple reasons I had to step down. First off were my real life responsibilities. I'm a 20 year old college student who is engaged and working 40-60 hours a week to pay for school, and other living expenses(like food and a house). Tack on the fact that I havn't really played RS in three or four years, and you have a good understanding of my reasoning.
Book: College can be expensive and time consuming, unfortunately.
Book: After seven years of hard work and dedication you've given Tip.it, was it emotional to have to go or were you glad to pass on the position; to retire and sit back and relax?
Misplacedme: It was the very last thing I wanted to do. But I knew that my inactivity was affecting the Crew, and I didn't want that to happen.
Book: In the time you've spent as the Crew Leader, what do you think is the best thing you've done to help Tip.it and that your most proud of?
Misplacedme: Most people would be surprised at how much goes on behind the scenes. What I felt I did the best as the leader was talking with the individual crewbies about what was going on, and managing the PR related things when they came up.
Book: I'm sure we'd all be shocked how much work the crew puts into the site behind the scenes.
Book: How long had you been in the Crew before you became the leader and how did you feel about that?
Misplacedme: Hmm... I would guess I was in the crew for 3 years? I'll go check a news post... Hmm... It doesn't seem to like me today. Oh well, I will stick with that number. When I found out that I was going to become the Crew leader, I was very excited. After so many years of helping out the site, I was going to be one of the people up on the top helping out.
Book: Do you ever think you'd regret the decision of moving on and wish you had your old position back?
Misplacedme: Surprisingly, no. I loved the position and the work I was doing, Almost a month into switching out, I'm still catching up on everything I've been needing to do IRL.
Book: Many were sad to see you go; do you have any special words for those missing you?
Misplacedme: Only one. Or two... Hmm... Can an action count as a single word? Either way *Fluffles* I'll be hanging around randomly so I can be caught and talked to :)
Book: Lol, we'll be sure to let them know.
Book: What are your future plans for Tip.it?
Misplacedme: Well, I have always liked the idea of penguins with cymbols on the front page, but that always got shot down.... The infinate monkeys writing guides would be amusing as well...
Book: You said you might remain in the Crew, is any definite decisions made about that yet?
Misplacedme: I'm planning on being an undercover crewbie that noone will ever see. There are a million little requests for the management system we use, and I'll be working on those as well as major features to the site.
Book: Hopefully we may get a glimpse of your work behind the scenes sometime.
Book: Anything else you'd like to add?
Misplacedme: I don't think so. Or yes... Hmm... Did you know that RL has these machines that give you money or frozen cokes? It's exciting! But anything relevant... Not really :P
Book: Thanks for letting me interview you, I enjoyed it.

~ Part Seven: Chap. 4: Love Indeed by Xebn Xocnil
Gil Colin Graham woke up in the comfort of Alexia's lap. She was, of course, sorry for her act of rash anger. If anything, Graham was more enamored by her than ever; intelligence, looks, kindness and strength all in one package! Then there was the somewhat unbalanced and mentally unstable parents.
"We're sooooo sorry that we caused Alexia to lash out in righteous anger!" They said, with their arms linked together, as they moved in a rather lovey-dovey fashion.
Alexia glared at them, motioning them to leave the room, they obliged, but a tell-tale clink of a glass indicated that they were listening in. They talked, both sitting in different chairs. Kevin was around somewhere, and he wasn't someone to miss out on something like this.
Eventually, it neared lunchtime, Graham, though he felt that the world, for him was the brigh-*test*-('") and the grea-*test*-('"), thing that existed; all for him. Though Alexia felt differently, but it was in the same, glowing spirit. Graham invited her to lunch. Kevin, disguised as a wall fixture, made his appearance.
"Sorry for spying in, but this is the best room to practice my hobby, camouflaging myself as a wall," he said, walking off, obviously to tail the couple where ever they went. They decided to disappoint him. He then appeared directly behind them. "Trickery like that gets you nowhere. And you haven't even told her where you stay."
Gil Colin Graham and Alexia both started, why not? Graham left for the palace, strangely feeling all the better for spending the hours with her.
----------
Kevin walked into the shadowy room, it had been too long since he had got a summons, and the room had somehow become more intimidating. Violet Nightshade, the foremost female assassin in all of Cameo and the liaison of the Assassin's Guild in that entire country. She was violent and violent looking, she even had a name that sounds like violent. Violent things surrounded her and she felt beautiful when killing.
"Well then, my pet, are you having a lovely vacation?" She said sibilantly. "Have you killed anyone?"
"The mark of a bad assassin is the unwarranted killing of too many people. It draws the legitimate killers to us. It's that simple. I only kill as many as I need to, no more, and less if I can."
"What a cowardly thing to say." She stretched herself luxuriously over the settee she lounged in. It was covered in spikes that all faced one direction. If she wasn't careful, she would get cuts everywhere that touched the settee. She would have enjoyed that immensely, her masochism however, was checked by her more primitive survival instinct. "I prefer death, and lots of it. Did I ever tell you the time I killed an entire palace staff because I forgot the face of my target?"
Every assassin in the Guild knew that story. It was used to demonstrate how not to do it, she, however, reveled in her infamy. "MMMMmmm... a mission for you then... MMMMMMMMMMMMMM.... Kill the Camean princess, and make sure her father can see it!"
"I'm not going to do that." Kevin said coldly. She stared at him. No one had ever denied that what she considered pleasure. Rage took her for a moment, but Kevin already had a hand on her head. She submitted, however, she would kill him. She would kill him.

~ Part Eight: Bravo! by Moneyman6369
Part 1: Bounty Hunter Updates (good… or bad?)
First off, I would just like to say ‘bravo’ to Jagex! So I’ll do that: “Bravo, Jagex!” I strongly approve of their amendments to Bounty Hunter, as it does give a fair chance to soloists. Not only that, but the cash rewards really give everybody a new incentive to play Bounty Hunter more often. Playing Bounty Hunter is now actually a good way to make money in the game, just like PKing in the ‘good ‘ole days’. And the Bounty Locate spell, which is now F2P as well as P2P, has become cheaper to use and requires a lower magic level. So like I said before, these are all great improvements to Bounty Hunter. But what’s the bad side of these new updates? Ironically, it’s the very thing that was troubling everyone
before the updates. Clans, previously dominating the Bounty Hunter worlds, are now nonexistent. Oh, sure, you can still strut around with your clique of friends, but the maximum amount of people fighting a single person goes about a normal 1-3 on Bounty Hunter now. I believe, and I’m sure many others agree with this, that before the updates, the clans had an outrageous and unfair advantage. But now, not having them
at all? The point of Bounty Hunter, as Jagex has said, was to supply an alternative to PKing, now that PKing is no more. But PKing had clans roaming around, and Bounty Hunter doesn’t now. I remember when I was in a clan; I loved the weekly PKing trips we did and many others enjoyed this experience as well. Since Bounty Hunter is an alternative to PKing, shouldn’t it have clans and soloists as well? Like, a kind of balance between the two, just like PKing had? But, unfortunately, that will never happen because there just isn’t enough space for clans and soloists to exist together. The problem with Bounty Hunter is its size.
It is way too small. Let’s do some simple math here: out of 159 worlds (excluding German Worlds), a mere 16 of them are Bounty Hunter ones. That’s approximately 10% of the worlds. On top of that, the Bounty Hunter area occupies approximately 1/11 (approx. 9%) of the entire wilderness. So when you get into that 10% of worlds, out of the normal entire wilderness to ‘PK’, you only have 9%. And 9% of 10% is 1.11%. So we’re missing 98.89% of the space we used to get to PK; we now only have a fraction of the amount. The sad truth is, even with the new updates, Bounty Hunter will
never replace PKing. There was so much about PKing that is simply better than Bounty Hunter. Good try, Jagex, and I applaud you for your effort, but we’ll never be as happy as we were before.
Part 2: The Replacements (no, I’m not talking about that TV show, lol)
No, I’m talking about the features in the game that were implemented by Jagex nearly 3 months ago to replace PKing, trading, item lending, all those old freedoms we all took for granted back then. Are they as good as their precedents? I have to say that just a week ago, no, they weren’t. But as we all know, on the 21st of February, Jagex released a news update titling “The State of Play”. I really like how they’re actually letting us, the players, know what’s coming up and what’s being fixed. It’s a bit like Behind the Scenes, but more in-depth and comprehensive. Anyhow, thanks to these upcoming updates and the ones that have already happened, I think that Runescape is actually coming back out of it’s ‘Ruinedscape’ state. Let’s take a close look at these upcoming updates making ‘The Replacements’ as good, if not better, than the features before them.
• First off, there’s the Grand Exchange Improvements. I’m glad that they’re once again cutting some slack on certain raw materials and other items, so that players can once again relatively choose their own price. Thank you Jagex for allowing us some freedom again! The other part mentioned in the article is “a new web page...which will allow you to track item prices over a long period of time”. This is something that I personally have been dying to see. I was a merchant before 9/11 *cough*, sorry, I mean 12/10, and this ‘web page’ I think will enable me to go back to my preferred profession. To be frank, I am happy to have the Grand Exchange regulate every item’s prices if it means we get this web page… That’s how helpful I think this will be. But that’s just me. Either way, there’s no going back to the old and we definitely are getting some good updates to the Grand Exchange now!
• Fairer LootShare, or should I say CoinShare, is next - another promising update. Thanks to this new system,
everyone who participated in the kill gets an
equal amount of coins. Thank you Jagex for balancing this out!
• Next up is the new Item Lending feature, which is still in its early stages, but another update showing great potential. The Assist System alone just didn’t cut it. Sure, it was nice that you could still help your friends out now and then, but it didn’t allow the freedom of walking off and doing your own thing; you had to sit there while your friend fletched or whatever. I’m hoping that the Item Lending feature will be a good, easy way for you to lend items to your friends. Either way, it’ll definitely be better than what we have now!
• Then there’s the New PvP Mini Game. Unfortunately, this is one I’m having some doubts about… I’m afraid that it might be very similar to staking and we all know what a disaster
that turned out to be! You see, in the very last sentence of the paragraph, it describes it as a “safe minigame”. As soon as I read that, I was thinking, “Huh? If you’re not losing anything, how can the other guy be gaining anything?”, and I still maintain that thought today. Let’s hope it all turns out well and it can’t hurt to have a new minigame…right?!
• Finally there are the Summoning improvements which was never a replacement, but I feel like including it in my article because it was mentioned in the update. Summoning turned out to be a bit of a failure, unfortunately, and within the week after it was released, shard prices were halved in an attempt to making it easier to train. Numerous other changes were also made trying to make it more affordable. Now though, they are promising better rewards, which in my mind, can only be a good thing. On top of that, there is also many more Summoning familiars to be released shortly. Summoning can only get better!
Well, there you have it! The future is looking bright!

Question:
I hate Runecrafting, is there a way to make it more fun?
Anon:
I have found when Runecrafting, using the ZMI Alter (Zamorak Mage Institute Alter) Located under the Chaos Alter South-West of Ardougne, getting levels seems faster to me and alot more fun.
I am able to make runes higher than my level and I never know what runes I am going to get.
The only downside to this method is that you must give 20 runes to the banker to bank and reload with PURE essence.
This is how I do it:
I fill up my 3 pouches with PURE essence and the rest of my inventory, not carrying anything else but this and wearing spottier cape and my boots of lightness.
I walk to the Alter as it isn't too far from either Castle Wars or Ardougne.
I then take the long route which I can make it to the alter in (maximum of) 3 clicks, talking to friends, or working on other things along the way (so far I have never had a random here). So this feels less boring because the less clicks you have to make, the shorter the journey feels.
I then squeeze through the crack and click straight on to the alter turning my 25 P. Ess in to various runes. I then empty my pouches, click on the alter and return back to the "banker".
This gives me 43 runes and alot more XP than runecrafting the normal way.
I tend to use runes that I have most of in the bank BUT I only use Earth, Air, Fire or Water as you can buy these fairly cheaply and/or are great frequent drops from my slayer assignments.
TIP:
If you are on a world where there are alot of people at the ZMI using the short path is less dangerous as other people will be getting hit too, so you will be sharing the damage from the attacks.
Question:
Is there any point in farming anymore now the herb prices have dropped?
Anon:
Yes! Not all herb prices have dropped and there are other skills that will benefit from farming.
Take cooking for example, Tuna potatoes are great cooking XP, buying Sweetcorn can be costly, so farming it yourself will help your wallet too! Then you can either sell them or use them during combat, these are great when fighting higher level beasts as they heal 22 HP.
Then you have the Spirit Tree, you can only plant this at level 83 farming and it can prove usefull for getting to a spot quicker.
At 43 farming you can plant an Evil Turnip, this is usefull for Summoning, because once carved it makes Evil Turnip Summoning Pouches.
Also you can plant your own herbs and level your Herblore!
Question:
I want to make a blog about my goals and things I do on Runescape but I don't know where to start, can you please give me some tips?
Anon:
First off I would reccomend looking at a few blogs on the forums, as you can see, most of them have catchy titles. When you enter them, you are met with a banner, this looks welcoming and can start a blog off nicely.
Then as you scroll down, most have an "about me" section, this can cover Real Life and Runecape. Maybe add a couple of pictures, and colours that are easy to read are good too.
Add sections and use a hide feature if the forum has them, these can be a god-send for dial-up users.
Don't forget to add why you have made the blog, keep people up to date with your progress and add pictures and stories on what you have done, this keeps people interested and they keep coming back.
Thanks!
