We've been publishing the editions of the Gielinor Tribune on the Ksa Forums for quite a long time now and the Management of the Gielinor Tribune is now planning for better "support" of them in our editions. In the editions posted on Ksa; they are to be personalized with interviews of fellow Ksa Forum users, Ksa news and info, and advertisements for Ksa Forum-shops along with much more! We plan for this to take affect on the release of the amazing 20th Edition of the Gielinor Tribune. So, why not check out www.ksashops.org and become apart of the community there also! Jagex has had to admit that they would not be following through with that, after there was no mention of the update in February’s Behind the Scenes. It’s not the delay that’s the real problem. I am glad that Jagex does not release half complete skills that frustrate us (well, normally don't release bug littered updates). The problem is that Jagex was not truthful about the circumstances of the initial release. Ever since Jagex announced that they were going to give us summoning, they also gave themselves a deadline. They had to release something in January or they risked losing people who only stayed to check out the new skill following the Real World Trading updates. Now, the reasons they cited for not releasing the whole skill were all perfectly valid and it was a good idea. The problem is that they gave the impression that the rest of the skill was either done, or at least very close to it. With the delay, they revealed that another reason for partial release was that the skill wasn't done and that they obviously overestimated how long it would take to finish. Then, they also managed to mess up the music update. On its own, it wasn't that bad, but with that messed up and 2 features delayed is not good. With “Customer Support” becoming a thing of the past, we now have to wonder exactly what their doing with all these people who are apparently doing nothing. They did manage to get a new quest off though without a hitch, and though it’s not the Mourning's End Part 3, that we are waiting for, at least they have not forgotten the Elven Lands. They also did an odd postbag from the hedge, which while it is interesting, it is also very odd. We have been assuming that the history of RuneScape was well known by TB@JT, but now it would seem that they want our input to determine where various plots are going, especially the Wise Old Man. Someday Jagex will hopefully learn that they need to give themselves a longer buffer time for completing announcements so that they don't keep delaying things. We won't miss what we don't know about and what was supposed to be released. Jagex might try treading more carefully in this certain area, at least until the entire community is not quite so mad at Jagex for various reasons. Someday Jagex will figure out that this really is not getting them any friends, and history will stop repeating itself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Isle of Crandor, a Runescape Discussion Board and archive of Runescape News. Please Do Not be discouraged by the low amount of posts, we need active members like You! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Part Three: Interview of Runemetsa by Guthix121 Guthix121: First, I would like to congratulate you on your recent promotion to Tip.It Mod Trainee. How did you hear of Tip.It and what made you join? Runemetsa: Thank you ^-^ . Well, I got to Tip.It once I was still playing Runescape. My friend, actually my second-cousin, was playing Runescape to and he used Tip.It all the time, while I was using RuneHQ. Well he told me about this place and I just loved the instructions and tips here, so I decided to stay. The reason why I registered to these forums was that I could get into the drop parties. After I quit Runescape, I still kept using these forums. I really loved the artists in the Gallery, specially Goldwolflord, Cadburys_Egg, Nadril, Terley and of course Misterxman. They have been so friendly to me, always supporting me with my work. Too bad that most of my old 'idols' have already quit Tip.It forums, but I still see them in Deviantart and such places. Guthix121: So you've been on Tip.It for quite a while. Since you do not play RuneScape, I will not get into it. So, how did it feel when you opened the "Tip It Mod Trainees Announced!" thread, and saw your name on it? Runemetsa: I don't really know if I am allowed to say this, but we all were told about the Moderator Trainee thing about 2 weeks before it was announced in public. It was definitely a nice surprise to get your own forum to moderate and stuff. When I got the PM that they picked me, then I was really surprised. Guthix121: That's awesome. Let's get into a bit about graphics. You are considering one of the good graphic artists in the Tip.It Gallery. When did you first start computer graphics and what inspired you to do so? Runemetsa: I started doing them when I joined Tip.It forums. I was amazed how people like Cadburys_Egg and Goldwolflord could do the awesome signatures that they made. So, I wanted to make some too! I tried with no success, but then I got Photoshop CS2 from my godfather and I started to play with that. So now all the profit goes to the Tip.It community. Guthix121: If you still have them, do you mind showing us one of your older works, and then your best current one? Runemetsa: Some older ones of mine: For my second-cousin Myself Newest/Best ones Probably my best one: Guthix121: I'd say you have definitely improved. Are there any final things you would like to mention before we end this interview? Runemetsa: I would like to thank you everyone in Tip.It for their positive mood for me, their feedback and all help they have given me. I really do appreciate this. My progress couldn't been possible without your help. I encourage everyone who wants to do signatures to try and you can really make a difference. And if you don't get the progress you would want to, you can always ask me. 8-D Let's get the good things rolling! Thank you! ~ Part Four: TCE by Book/unorclan As some may remember, back in March 30, 2007, CTET was released. Clan Tip.it Events Team was a new branch off the extremely popular Tip.it Events Team and was destined for the bonding of the Tip.it clans through tournaments, prizes, and fun! I remember when it first came out and I thought that as long as the clans stayed active - it would be a great success. Apparently not. I am not quite sure exactly how long CTET lasted but I do know everyone had high hopes and that the events that CTET did host had many participants and was very active. Dbzruler72 has this to say "The former CTET was actually very active. Not one event had less than ~fifty people attending. CTET went out with a bang. CTET was awesome. I can't wait for its return in the form of TCE." Dbzruler72 also tells us a little bit about CTET before and whats going now. "Currently, events are being created in the CIC board & being finalized. Before, CTET was a backdoor for TET members. This time around, we'll be letting go of that perspective & make TCE truly for clans, not individuals." And now, finally, CTET is BACK! Reformed into TCE and as before, there are high hopes and future plans set in place preparing TCE to become a success! So far a new program has been added called the Tip.it War Rankings or "TWR" for short. The idea behind this program is to provide a way for the Tip.it clans to declare war on another clan and the winner gets recognized and that clan goes up in rank. Currently there are only 9 clans signed up for the TWR but there are high hopes for more to come! Wars between clans have already started and we're all hoping for more clans to get in there and participate. For more information on TCE visit the TCE Forum on Tip.it and if you have a suggestion for TWR visit this topic. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Do you like to play games other than Runescape but can't find a fun place to talk about them with follow players? I know you have written a great merchanting guide (AOW) and are a great Tip.Iter and RuneScape player. So tell me, when did you first find RuneScape, and what inspired you to choose your name? Hellbellz: As for my name, Jesse or Jesselitton is fine. I had a friend call me about a game on Miniclip. I played it, and noticed RuneScape as the top game, so I decided to check it out. Well, originally my name was Pothead###. You guys know how there are two buttons in the login screen has two buttons? I always clicked the "New User" and never got around to login! Hah. I couldn't figure out a name at all, so unfortunatly, I used my real name. Corny? Yes. Original? Very. Guthix121: So tell me, what was/is your most enjoyable RuneScape experience? Hellbellz: Friends. Without them, I would have quit years ago. I am constantly talking to friends, helping them out. I think I can honestly say friends are the true reason I play RuneScape. Guthix121: That's pretty cool. Anything you like about the game itself? Any skill, quest, or activity? Hellbellz: Summoning is neat. It gives you a good incentive to work on Slayer along with your combat. I'm a little disappointed with some of the recent updates Jagex has made though. Doesn't seem fair, but you got to do what you got to do, and Jagex had to make updates to stop RWT. I don't blame them one bit. Guthix121: So how is it with Summoning? Do you have any specific goals? Hellbellz: I'm sticking with my current level of 35. I'm using my charms accumulated from Slayer and pouring them out every time I achieve 1,000 gold charms. It seems like a fair method of training. Guthix121: Before we talk about Tip.It, is there anything else you would like to say about RuneScape? Hellbellz: I'm just glad I got my first Dragon Axe before the servers crashed last night, haha. Guthix121: OK, on to Tip.It. How did you first find out about it? Were there any fansites you went to before this? How did you come up with the name Hellbellz? Hellbellz: Google. I needed to find out how to do some quests and Tip.it was top on the list. I always looked at other fan sites, and thought to myself how much cleaner Tip.it looks, so I stuck with it. The name hellbellz just popped in my head one day, it's not based on anything. I really dislike the name. Guthix121: I see that you have joined Tip.It way back in 2005. Were there any specific users that you considered your friends back then that may or may not be on now? Hellbellz: I can't really say there are. There are maybe three players who quit that I met a while ago. A few of them have logged in recent days, so I'm actually quite happy. Guthix121: Many say that you created one of the best Merchanting guides Tip.It has ever seen. What inspired you to write it, and how did you feel when it was chosen for AOW? Hellbellz: I wouldn't say it's great, but it's pretty good. In the past I used to merchant for hours, it's all I did. I thought I could help out a few people if I wrote a guide. I was actually really shocked. I didn't think it had the potential, lol. Guthix121: So you never expected it to get far. Any particular projects you are currently working on (Tip.It guide, a website, forum, etc.)? Which Tip.It forum do you spend the most time in now? Hellbellz: I'd like to make some guides, but they take a lot of time and effort to do, so I haven't done one since my Merchanting guide. I got to love the OT (Off Topic). Some topics are hilarious, and the maturity of most users in there is higher than most users who post in Blogscape and such. No offense, but take a look around and you will see a difference. Guthix121: So like many older users, you have drifted away from the RuneScape section of Tip.It and focus more on the bottom half? Hellbellz: Yep. Gin is just like a post, and you leave the topic. :s Guthix121: OK, is there anything else you would like to mention before we end this interview? Hellbellz: None, but thanks. Oh one thing. WHAT THE AYEFF? CHEEZE ITS! WHAT THE AYEFF DAVID BLAINE! Guthix121: Thanks for letting me interview you. It was a pleasure. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anti-Knights Mining Co. strives to give our workers the pay they deserve. She was... beautiful. He gathered all of his self-control to maintain a steady pace and a level head. It would be bad form to be seen skipping like a schoolboy who has just learned that the vacation he is about to take has no homework to do, and it will be sunny the entire week. The king was not at all surprised at how long it took him to reach the palace. He had, after all, grown up there, and knew that the city was a maze of distractions. One could spend a week, and only see the places that were advertised or were on the streets. Few had seen all the shops, visited all the parks, and eaten at all the restaurants there were in the city. He brushed off the apology with a wave. "Come then, I think we shall do such light work as formalities so we can get straight to work on the morrow. If you have found anything that particularly interesting." He winked, it was a disturbing thing to see that old man wink. He knew when a man had found a woman he liked, goodness knows how many times he had seen the new boyfriends of his daughter. "So... what's her name?" Graham didn't reply to that. They talked and did the functions of their offices. It was boring, and long, and well past midnight when they finished. The three parted, deciding to meet again at the afternoon meal, a Camean ritual of a light snack and a drink, intended for a small period of rest from work. Graham could not sleep immediately, so he got up and walked out of the room onto the balcony. Thinking of one person. Beautiful, kind looking, not empty-headed... he listed the traits he could think of with just looking and remembering her. Alexia, sitting on her family's roof thought of Gil Colin Graham. He was a brave man, strong looking and manly... WHAT was she thinking? Was she falling heads over heals, over looks? He could be a total pig... She ignored those thoughts as she climbed back into her room. They both felt supernaturally drawn, as if someone had preordained that they should meet. The next day came and Gil Colin Graham woke up as he normally did, inhumanly early. He ate breakfast with the cooks and servants, then watched the sunrise over the lake. He walked purposefully toward the district where he had met Alexia. He hoped and prayed that the address was correct. After asking for direction he arrived. He arrived at a house, brightly lit and smelling of good food. It smelled of his home, he hesitated at the door. Did she want to see him? "My my!" Said a middle-aged woman who was walking toward the door, "It's been a long time since a good man has hesitated in front of my husband's door... Here to see Alexia?" She opened the door for him, embarrassed, he went in. "Dearest! A MAN to see Alexia!" "Honey!' A middle-aged man bounded out of a closet and hugged his wife. "Is it really true? Has a real man come to see her?" A rather over-sized pot, still with what looked breakfast oatmeal in it, flew at a fast clip toward the pair, who ducked. The pot ricocheted off the door jamb and slammed into Graham's head, knocking him out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ forumer.com/> Stop by at the Land of Guthix today! Do NOT go to the castle ruins in Northeast free-to-play Wilderness with all your most valuable items. It seems that the Revenants are guarding something that may appear in a future quest (according to the minds of WOMDA (Wise Old Man Detective Agency) who jump to poor conclusions with as little evidence as possible and have a hard time keeping on topic (words of the detectives themselves). When training skills such as mining, either go to German worlds or very crowded worlds with activity. If you were in, say, world 2, then most likely everyone will be too busy merchanting instead of mining. Do your homework. If you spend too much of your time with other stuff, then, no doubt, your grades will plummet and those little obstacles we call parents are going to keep you and TIF as far away as possible. Do us all a favor and don’t type in a way that not even YOU can understand. I don’t care if you’re tired or just plain drunk, you are still going to look like an idiot. If you want to get an item but don't really want to go out of your way to stand there typing in the same thing over and over again, go to the Grand Exchange. You can do whatever you want after you've placed in your "order" and then go back as soon as you see the message on your screen. (Also may be a good idea to buy something at maximum price, to increase the odds of buying something. You get some coins back due to the Grand Exchange selling for the lowest price possible) If you are a member and not playing RuneScape THAT much anymore, I would suggest canceling subscription so that you do not waste money on it. At least until you get excited again. Section 2: You Know You Are A Noob If... You log into RuneScape and say "RuneScape blows" and then NOT log out, but, instead, play the game like everyone else. You report someone for Bug Abuse because they killed a spider. They aren't even bugs, my God! You fish 600 sharks and then eat them all to see if you would get fat. You try to use the rope on the Wise Old Man so that you can take his blue party hat (hey, sometimes you have to make fun of yourself). You think you could kill a Mithril Dragon without any food, weapons, and armor. Of course, if you succeeded, then all of RuneScape will bow before you! You shout out "Party at my place" near a house portal, and then it turns out you haven't even built your first chair. That's not funny! Or at least not for the victims... You smash your keyboard into the computer monitor because someone else took your coal. You ask where you can get “dragonite.” You do every quest and every mini-game just to unlock the hidden "Doctor Evil" emote that doesn't appear on your list until you complete the game 100%, which is kind of impossible. Even if it did exist, we don't even have PINKIES! You sell a blue party hat at the general store. I, personally, don’t like how party hat prices are so high, but I think more on strategic terms, not rarity terms. Section 3: New Developments From The Hedge Many of you have noticed, Jagex has taken a new approach with the Postbag. Now, they wish for us to reply to letters made from the characters! This could mean a whole variety of different things. Are they lacking imagination? Do they have an idea of what to do, but wish to incorporate the ideas of the players along with their own? Are they just trying to make it look like they give a rat’s buttocks about us? Did they forget that the Wise Old Man's telescope has been trained on the Wizard's Tower for years? Are they actually not spying on WOMDA (who are paranoid to a fault) and looking at all the crap we've come up with? Who knows? Only the people at Jagex (and any higher beings that exist) do. For all we know, this is a front, but at the same time, for all we know, this could be the start of something greater! Only time can tell. ~ Part Nine: Ask Anon! - Ingame Mute QUESTION: Any ideas how I can continue playing RuneScape on my main when it was unjustly perm muted? I've been playing on this account for 3-4 years and friends is what kept me going - how can I continue playing when I can't talk to anyone anymore? ANON: I understand you have already sent in a un-ban request and it has failed. I have found a few people that have been perm muted and they still enjoy the game, but you being a social person will miss not being able to communicate with others. What I would suggest to you is; if you really want to carry on with your main, use MSN or another instant messenger service. You are unable to communicate ingame so this is really your only solution. Obviously this will mean you will only be able to chat with your friends and not new people. If your main is not that important to you then maybe a fresh character, fresh start would be nice. See how far you can go with it. Set yourself new goals and new challenges. You can also add all of the people on your friends list so you will have the support there for your new guy. I hope this has given you some ideas. Good luck. ~Anon ____________________________________________ Have a Question? Ask Anon! Anon Editors Lead Editor Book/unorclan Editor Packer15 Editor Pyropenguin Editor Jaym Graphics Team Graphic Artist Jarrod Graphic Artist Digitale From The Manager's Desk By Book/Unorclan Greetings, As some of you may know, my main account on Runescape has recently been Perm Muted for "Encouraging Others to Break Rules" which is breaking Jagex's Rule 9. Now, lets go over the details of "Rule 9" according to Jagex. - Attempting to convince other players that the rules of RuneScape are different from what they actually are. - Trying to get a reaction from another player by using offensive language against them. - Creating, distributing or advertising third party RuneScape add-ons which break Rule 7. - Advertising or linking to real-world trading websites which break Rule 12. - Encouraging others to abuse bugs - any bugs found should be reported to Jagex immediately. - If you run a fansite linking to or providing software which links to forums/chat where users discuss ways of breaking rules, or encourage each other to do so (unless a genuine effort is made to moderate such chat and prevent such discussion). The so-called "evidence" that they have against my account is below. I applied for an appeal and guess what? They responded within 5 seconds. This is just one example of how bad Jagex's Customer service has become! According to Jagex's own website they have "over 300 employees" and "Roughly half our team work on providing our players with support, answering queries and assisting with disputes or lost passwords." That is around 150 employees supposidly providing "support" for the Runescape player - so where is it?? According to Runescape.com Jagex claims "We are keen to provide the best player support possible and as such have provided numerous ways in which players can supply us with feedback. - and yet there is no longer a way to send a direct message to Jagex now! All "feedback" is answered through the Runescape Forums or through FAQs now! As everyone knows, F2Pers are not able to access the Runescape Forums so when it comes down to a F2Pers last appeal and Jagex's auto-reply messages take care of that; what is the F2Per suppose to do? Some serious action needs to be taken with Jagex's customer service and they need to start living up to their claims of being "keen to provide the best player support possible".
