Backing Up Your Files
Hi, I need some advice on how to back up files because my computer crashed twice already and I lost my files. Can someone tell me how to back them up? THX

I save them on a separate hardrive or get a massive thumpdrive and save all important ones you want on that. I've even heard of saving files online so you can retrieve them on a seperate computer.

Your best bet is to save it on a memory stick or other chip (NOT Floppy disk!) and just keep that safe. I wouldn't trust uploading important files onto the internet, private or not.

Guthix121- 11-24-2007

It has almost no memory space and it breaks very easily

save it on a memory stick or other chip . What are some examples?

I don't know, I was just saying you could. WHy is your computer crashing btw?

Steve Spell- 11-26-2007

It crashed 2 times before and I want to make sure I'm safe.

Did you virus scan it?

Its fine now, but before it had problems

put up some fire walls and zone alarm and it will be fine.

whats a zone alarm I already have firewalls

Mu8r4zi9k- 11-28-2007

zone alarm is a extreamly strong fire wall. it asks you if you want to permit something if it asks acses to your computer

Buy an external hard-drive that's roughly the size of your HDD and save all your important stuff on there.

I think the problem was already solved.
